Is it actually true that male humans prefer objects of sexual desire to look younger than they do, and female humans prefer them to be older?

Also, if it is true: how *much* younger/older?

Not that I have any actual need for the information, or anything. Just... idle curiosity.

it's true of most humanoids. including trill of both species. there was this time in the pool, where the lovely Teh symbiont attempted to electromassage me...but she was barely more than a bud, and i am not a germination pool robber.

I would say that females are inclined to concentrate less on purely physical appearance and more on personality and character in terms of what they find more desirable. If you'd like to say that 'older' equals more mature and experienced (not just sexually, but in terms of *life experience*), then the answer to your question is yes.

I am not human. But from what I can see, females like older males, and the opposite applies to males.

...the grey hair is ugly. Get rid of it and de-age. The last I saw your human form you were letting it show all the stress from the kid and you looked your age, and by your age I mean five billion, and that means UG-LY.

And I am so not full of it. Yes, older men are sexy. So are younger men. So are men the same age as you. (Well, not you personally. Or in fact me personally, as I've never met a 3,000-year-old human male who hadn't been beaten over the head with the ugly stick.)

By the way I have taken a poll, and four out of five Q agree: you don't have a chance with her, ever, you blew it completely, give it up and go after the other one. (And the fifth Q said if you have such a fetish for starship captains you should go back and hit on Kirk 'cause he's easy. Which he is. Also very good, if you're not looking for anything permanent.)

However, if you are intending to learn more about humans, and not, in fact, attempting something else entirely, I will say this. We cannot be placed into categories so easily. Women have been known to take younger lovers, even if it may not appear to happen very often.

And, as you know from that...experience we had in my past, I have had older women as lovers.

Somehow, reading this discussion further, I wonder if I shouldn't be concerned where all this is leading.

The more I think about my relationship with Tom, the more I'm inclined to understand why women prefer older men -- time to work out the kinks. Not that I don't love Tom, because I do, but he can be infuriating on occasion.
