And it's not a question of 'cheating'; as a Starfleet captain I have certain principles, a certain set of standards to abide by. No matter how dire our situation would become, there are certain things I would never do. Sacrificing one's principles, even on a seemingly minor matter, is a slippery slope. Though I really don't expect you to understand.
