In fact I have a very funny story to tell about Vash and my son, except I don't know whether to be laughing hysterically at it or outraged at her stupidity.

No, I'm perfectly fine with the notion of having a conversation with Vash. Although after the stunt q and I just pulled I doubt she'd feel the same way. :-) Whereas That Woman... well, let us say that if we never talk for all of eternity it will be too soon.

I'm sure she'll stick her nose in your business, though. That's what she does. So sooner or later you'll hear from her. And you'll probably think she's absolutely wonderful just like every other mortal fool she dupes into seeing her as perfect.

Guinan and Q don't get along.

That's actually an understatement. They get along about as well as a Klingon and a cargo hold of hyperactive tribbles.

Guinan thinks Q is a evil, sadistic brat out to cause chaos and strife across the galaxy.

I think they also have some personal history but I can't be sure - and I'm not asking.

Sorry to intrude. Its just that I don't think Q will actually tell you, and even though he says she meddles, Guinan's really nice, and good at listening.

And she makes -really- good milkshakes.

I was going to ask how trecherous a bartender could be, but then realized that this was a stupid question. Still, she doesn't sound trecherous, Q. You sound more conniving than the kindly woman who used to tend bar for the Enterprise.

But I admit it. I don't try to present myself as anything other than I am. I'm dangerous, and I think I go about making that adequately clear to everyone I meet.

Guinan is very dangerous. But *she* goes out of her way to sweet-talk every one and *listen* to all their problems and then when you're totally not expecting it she'll stab you in the back. Just watch.

The trouble with mortals is that they think they know someone for seven years and then they really know them. Know someone for over 200 years, *then* you really know them.
